I happen to be very biteable, pal. I'm moist and delicious.

Compassionately intolerant

At least it isn't freedom fruit.

I'm also amused by the numbers of "Unique"s born in my city every year. Makes me think the law of averages dictates that sooner or later, more than one of them will end up in the same class.

This week's Infinite Mind on NPR featured segments on names. I had no idea that Nevaeh had become so popular. (Heaven backwards? Isn't that metaphorically someplace warmer?)

Trudy--just making sure that you got both of my emails earlier this week. I've been having server troubles at times. Just checking.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I just checked back after several hours of grading papers. Thanks, everyone, for all the maiming offers and evil glares and general "Evil Boy" thoughts. I really don't feel heartbroken, more...irritated, irked and slightly hurt. So I guess it wasn't luuuv.

On the funny side, one of my students wrote, "In the biggening of Roberto Clement's career..." and I about broke something important LMAO thinking of Homer S. and "embiggened." But I feel as if I am working (hard) towards my goal which inspired me to teach h.s. English, namely making sure freshman English comp students were funtionally literate.

Although right now, I am leaning towards thinking that stopping U.S. debt and the Iraq war would be much easier than teaching writing.

Hot shower good. Back still hurts from hunching over papers with a pencil and cursing.

Um. I had a weird moment earlier. I just found out that my landlord/friend Peter's best female friend is David Boreanaz's ex-wife. Peter and David are apparently still good friends.

Two degrees of separation. Weird.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I did much skipping and skimming.

Happy Birthday, Vortex! I'm sorry to hear about bad backs, lost luggage, deadbeat ummfriends, etc. I wish all the Bitches what they richly deserve. You know, good things.

I'm already an hour late for the bed time I should have so I better put myself down.

And welcome back, libkitty!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

And you'll be lounging around in bikinis whenver possible I take it?

Kristin, the last email I got from you was on May 5.

Trudy, weird. I sent you one on the 9th and another one on the 14th. I'll try re-sending. Same email, right?

Cereal:

Resent. My mac account is fine in receiving but seems to be flaky in sending. The emails likely will come from the yahoo account.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Kristin, that's weird, but kind of nifty.

I just discovered I am out of eyeliner and mascara. What's good that can be bought at Target?

Max Factor mascaras are generally pretty good. I like their 2000 Calorie Mascara, and have been using it off and on for over a decade. Eyeliner, I'd probably go Revlon, but it's been so long since I used a pencil that I'm pulling that one out of my rear. Allyson likes the purple liquid Wet n' Wild, and I had decent luck with it, so there's that option.
