I wanna hurt you, but I can't resist the sinister attraction of your cold and muscular body!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Not that I'm bitter.

I'll sit over there and be not bitter with you.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I think the Seattle Gothic maternity wardrobe is currently claimed by someone, but I'll check with the other half of the hivemind.

Yay!

All day today I've had little Trinny and Susannah voices nattering away at me every time I pass a mirror or reflective surface. "Stop saying it's not your style? Why isn't it? Look at it - you look six inches taller and GLAMOUROUS! Do you remember yesterday's outfit? Dumpy! Stump-legged! Squat! All tits! Stop whining and just wear what we tell you!"

Stretch marks -- ehn. I've had stretch marks on my boobs since they had their first real growth spurt when I was 17. Already lived with 'em for 20 years, I can stand a few more.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Not a beach ball, but I'm massively bustier than I used to be and my waist has kind of disappeared;

You mean you look like me? I've got the stretch marks, too.

What is even happening?

You can, but sadly, research has pretty well shown that it's a genetic predisposition and creams won't do much more than soothe the itching.

Not that I'm bitter.

I was going to say, I didn't get one stretch mark any of my three pregnancies, and I didn't moisturize my belly with anything. I remember my OB commenting on it. I didn't get huge when pregnant, but I gained between 25-30 pounds with each of the boys. With Julia, it was a little different, because I lost weight at first, then was on partial bedrast later, and was sick at the end. I can't remember what I gained. At one point, I remember being excited that I'd gained 18 lbs.

I did get puberty stretch marks on my breasts and hips, but they were faded before I ever noticed them, and I'm so fair they blend.

Only shorter, and distinctly lacking in the pretty flaxen blonde.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I dig this shirt [link] a whole lot, but I'm waistless, so I'm not sure how it would look on me.

JZ, you're shorter than brenda? Really? You photograph taller.

I'm a bit under 5'5", and IIRC from previous meetings, brenda either actually is rather taller or at least carries herself and projects taller.

I think you and she are about the same height. brenda's a bit taller than me, but not overly so.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

NotEmily is going to Sweden? Also yay!, since in my household we currently hate the Swedes.

Is there a story behind this, or was it more "Volvos. What's up with that?"

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

yeah, yeah, just anecdotal evidence, I know, but I got stretch marks with adolescence and even with nursing, and my mom and sister both are prone to stretch marks as well. I just assumed I'd get them. But my belly came through.
