"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I wish Barbara Boxer or Barak Obama were being talked about as viable candidates. Though really, I'd settle for a groundswell of McCain support among the centrist Republicans.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

We don't have any possible horses in the race, do we?

I actually do like Edwards a lot.

I just think we're not going to win anything at all. All my positive hopes and dreams have been dashed.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I wish I could think this, but I just don't know who the Dems have right now. I mean, Hillary?

We need to quit dicking around with senators and find a governor.

Any good Democratic governors spring to mind?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Obama has said repeatedly that he will not run in '08 and, this may be naive, I believe him.

I think Gen. Clark will likely run.

I think Hillary is the Dem's default candidate right now, but I sure hope they find somebody else. Nothing the Republicans could do would mobilize their base more than Hillary. The Right seems to think she's the antichrist.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

No, no, no. The early candidate never lasts. Too much time to dig the dirt, for them to be live on television yelling like a crazy person.

ETA: By which I mean, I hope people don't start whispering now about candidates they actually LIKE, but start drawing attention to people who probably can't win the nomination-- Hilary Clinton, say.

This. I know big chunks of the Left like the idea, but I think it would be political suicide.

Completely agree.

What about Bill Richardson from New Mexico?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I know big chunks of the Left like the idea, but I think it would be political suicide.

I'm not sure sure about the left liking Hillary anymore -- she's been centerizing herself pretty effectively. A lot of people I know are pissed off at her.
