The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I bought asparagus at the Farmer's market on Sunday that I need to cook tonight or tomorrow. How should I make it?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Roll it in olive oil, season it with salt and pepper, and then roast it until done, but not floppy. (400?) Melt half a stick of butter, add a lemon's worth of juice, and then add toasted, skinned, chopped hazelnuts. Pour this over the roasted asparagus. Serve.

I'm getting the pig!

Roasted asparagus!

Flat pan, drizzle asparagus with some extra-virgin olive oil, sprinkle with some course salt & bit of pepper, toss into the oven.

YUM!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ooh, that does both of those sound good.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I grilled asparagus last night after marinating them in olive oil and lemon juice for 1/2 hour.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Those sound excellent, and I'm not even a huge fan of asparagus. Of course, there's not a lot that doesn't sound good when doused in lemon and butter.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Melt half a stick of butter, add a lemon's worth of juice, and then add toasted, skinned, chopped hazelnuts. Pour this over the roasted asparagus. Serve.

Holy yum.

You can also steam them and eat them with mayonnaise. If you're the kind of person who likes mayo.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Of course, there's not a lot that doesn't sound good when doused in lemon and butter.

Raisins.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Those Herzog stories always amaze me. I don't know how the guy who made Stroszek has become this unflappable humanist saint.

Not to mention the guy who several times was a half step away from killing or being killed by Klaus Kinski (or the man who put everyone through what he put them through for FITZCARRALDO, including those of us who've tried to watch the movie).

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Any of the above, and then call Betsy's employer's cafeteria staff to let them know how it affected your pee.
