What is even happening?

Yikes! That'll get you a really good-sized house in the burbs.
I don't think it would get a studio around here. My mother's got an offer in on a two bedroom. It's nearly twice that. There are some two bedrooms around here going for 400K or more. It's sick.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

One of my coworkers keeps Eggo waffles and frozen berries in the fridge here at work.

I need to start doing that, I think. I normally buy a bagel on my way in, but by the time I actually have time to *eat* it, it's almost always cold.

I love traditional breakfast foods

Oh, I adore a lot of traditional breakfast foods. I just prefer eating them for dinner or possible Sunday brunch. I like sleeping in more than I like eating first thing in the morning, and I'm usually vaguely nauseated when I first wake up anyway.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Well, it depends on the burb in question. Some places are like your experience, others, like my crappy town, small single-family homes start at around 100k.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Happy Birthday, Katie!

I like most breakfast foods. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, french toast, bagles, and donuts--yum. Most breakfast food seems designed to be eaten slowly while downing gallons of coffee and reading the Sunday NY Times. At least, in my perfect world it is.

I need a second breakfast this morning -- my first one didn't take. I haven't stopped moving since I got here today, and it's already 1...GAH. Maybe there's a deli that's still doing egg sandwiches. I can't deal with real food on a day like this.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

speaking of breakfast foods, I had the yummiest brunch on Sunday, a sweet potato and chorizo hash with over easy eggs on top. SO GOOD!

Yeah. Small, single family homes start near 400K, here. Two and a half years ago, we sold a 2BR (5 room total) house for about 375K. It had a 30 year old roof, and a 60 year old furnace, and no garage.
