Very convincing. Makes me completely want to put myself under government control. Please take me to where you can make me unconscious and naked.

Swouncing

Fiona-with-one-more-exclamation-point!!!

How are things with you, all of you? How are things with Clara? And with her big brother? And with their mom?

Things are pretty good, thanks for asking. C. is a beautiful, smiley, happy girl (most of the time) and lots of fun. She's starting to get more active, rolling onto her tummy and things like that. B. started kindergarten (i.e. preschool) in September and seems to be enjoying it. The one problem is that he has been sick a lot in the past few months, but that seems to be par for the course.

I'm OK too. A bit tired, but keeping busy and reasonably healthy, touch wood.

How are things with you?

Edit: have to dash off shopping now, so I'll catch up your answer later!

Ziyi Zhang is so freaking beautiful.

Too bad her dress wasn't.

Timelies and gronk. GGs kept me up too late.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay Fiona! Everything sounds great.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

OMG where does the time go.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Bah.

Is it possible that cutting back on one's steroid use could cause a splitting headache? I don't get headaches too often, but this one started last evening and has only gotten worse.

If it is steroid withdrawl, then hopefully my taking my one steroid pill this morning will help....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought the post office was closed yesterday. Yet, stuff I put into the mailbox yesterday afternoon has already reached Netflix. When they're fast, they're fucking fast.

tommy, I sincerely hope that's not the case. Have you tried cold compresses?

I liked Ziyi Zhang's dress, but the colour looked funny. Maybe it's one of those ones that loses in translation. She shoulda just gone with red.

Nope. I don't have one here at work. Although I could walk to the grocery store and get one. But the freezer here is full of ice, so I'd have to get the kind that get cold by themselves.

So, in addition to my steroid pill, I took three ibuprofins, two cups of tea and two glasses of water. The headache does seem to be easing up....

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I thought she looked great in it -- not everyone could pull off that color.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I liked Ziyi Zhang's dress, but the colour looked funny.

It looked chartreuse in the photo I saw (somehow I never saw her on TV all night), and although it didn't particularly unflatter her skin tone, it's a really distracting color. Whereas, Emmy Rossum wore something beige-gray, that made her skin look like recycled paper.

In other dress news, I'm pretty sure Reese Witherspoon's dress did not fit her. It looked too small in the bust.

And I'll renew my objection to high-heeled sandals: they make feet look like chicken claws, and the advent of floor-length dresses must surely be a desperate attempt to hide chicken feet from the general public. Alas!
