Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Bon Voyage, Perkins!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Bye, Perkins!!!

Oddly Zillow says it is a 3 BR, 2 BA house, but it is a 3 BR, 1 BA.

Might the NOs have put a new bath in?

Swouncing

Perkins, have a great trip!

[Edit: Jesse and I are the same, other than the placement of one word in a sentence, and an exclamation point.]

Clearly, Zillow's data is regionally variable. My town sucks - it hasn't even got up-to-date property tax records, never mind any sales within 5 years in my neighborhood. But its estimates in other places where I know the housing market a little seem sensible.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Have a great vacation, Perkins!!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I know that Dad and Mom bought it for $35K back in 1969, and according to zillow, it's $174K now.

I looked up my parents' first house, which they paid $11K for in 1953, and it was valued at $380K. When I tried to look at their current house, Zillow gave me the house with the same address in the next town (changing the zip code in the process). Not ready for prime time yet. Plus, as sj noted, they don't seem to believe RI exists.

Well, have YOU seen Rhode Island lately? I haven't. You and sj and the rest of the population could be in Phoenix, pretending.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Zillow is giving me no love. It won't work on Safari at all, and every time I try it in Explorer it chugs along for 60 seconds or so and then tells me there was an error and I should try again later.

Happy birthday, MG, and may Chez Panisse and C's cake be so delicious that the iron treatment fades completely from your memory by bedtime.
