Clearly, Zillow's data is regionally variable. My town sucks - it hasn't even got up-to-date property tax records, never mind any sales within 5 years in my neighborhood. But its estimates in other places where I know the housing market a little seem sensible.

I know that Dad and Mom bought it for $35K back in 1969, and according to zillow, it's $174K now.
I looked up my parents' first house, which they paid $11K for in 1953, and it was valued at $380K. When I tried to look at their current house, Zillow gave me the house with the same address in the next town (changing the zip code in the process). Not ready for prime time yet. Plus, as sj noted, they don't seem to believe RI exists.

Zillow is giving me no love. It won't work on Safari at all, and every time I try it in Explorer it chugs along for 60 seconds or so and then tells me there was an error and I should try again later.

Zillow thinks my parent's house is worth about $429,680. I'm trying to remember what mother estimated, and I think it's close.

I don't know. Possibly Massachusetts annexed Pawtucket. That's all of the state that I saw, you know. And who is to say that it was really Pawtucket and not South Attleboro?
