Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Take a few deep breaths and work at a comfortable pace. Maybe write a note when you leave as to what you are working on,
That's good advice. When the work is overwhelming, I find writing up little status reports are helpful. They let the boss know that you are getting stuff done, and if there is too much to get done then they know and can adjust expectations. Also for me it helps me get more done since I want to stuff more into my little report.

My daughter was running around half-naked at the time for some reason so I had to tell her to keep out of the movie, hence the odd dialog.
I don't know how well it will actually show, the server isn't super with video.
Ok. I'm avoiding everything by playing with microfilm today.
Although, all of the overdue library books are just sitting on my desk for the whole world to see and know that I fucked up. Ugh.
No one will know or think that. But you do, and that's the issue at hand. Forget everyone else, they are irrelevant...

vw, you need to remember that the whole world doesn't care about library books (unless you have rogue librarians stalking the hall), and unless I'm missing something--how can they tell they're overdue?
'Cause they're interlibrary loans and have the due date in VERY BIG FONT on the front.
Apparently Sabrina took them out of the desk drawer last week, because she noticed that they were all overdue, and seems she told several people to make sure I'd take care of it.
If overdue books are the worst thing that people think about you, you're doing okay. I wish I could say that about myself.
Like Nora said -- it's something you care about. Don't worry about projecting that onto everyone else.
I just view overdue library books as an opportunity to donate to the library.
