Goodbye and Good Riddance 2005: the Year of the Penguin

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2005? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

I'm getting the pig!

My Secret Santa gift arrived today and, being me, I almost had it opened before I even got in the house. Which, thanks to all that superstrong sticky glue, wasn't exactly easy.

But I was successful and I now have lots o' lovely new magnets on my fridge, a couple of uber-cool new keychains hanging with my other keychains, an enticing beach chair card (very enticing) and just enough delicious mint chocolate to last me through the evening. Which happens to be the perfect amount. (BTW, I had no idea that Andes made their chocolates that big! Woo hoo!)

Thank you Laura Claus!! You rock!

Our wings are not tired.

Yay! I was hoping it would get there today. Did you get the note about part 2?

Hee! I put lots of tape so it would take a long time to open the little bits.

Well done then, miss thang. I almost broke a nail ripping into everything! Keyword being almost.

I almost forgot about part 2! I have a Buffista cookbook on the way, too. Yay! I'm so excited to see all of the contributions to it from various 'fistas.

Eta: check lj. I put up pics of the magnets on my fridge!

I'm getting the pig!

Damn it! I also forgot to mention how damn cute and creative (along with enticing) the card was.

See for yourself. The little book on the beach chair says Bitches Thread Suck. Too cute!

Woo! I'll get to LJ when I can wrestle my laptop back from DH. Although he has his own he is using mine right now because it is all available and handy in the living room. Grrr. I should go get his and set it up!

I have been to lj - the Bobby-made keychain is ADORABLE. And that card is fabulous.

I sent my secret Santa gift out last Thursday. The postal clerk said 6-8 business days, but I'm not hopeful that it will make it by Xmas. I'm still waiting on a package from Chicago that was sent to me two weeks ago.

Don't say that! I've yet to get packages in the mail, yeargh. I had to pick up special wrappings for some of my gifts (a 3' x 4' gift bag for one) and finish getting my S.S. gift gathered up. I've got it all, now, just have to get it packaged up.

Yay, for Lauragift! She does good gift. I love that card, it's teh cute.

Sail, this is cross-border, so I think it slows things down...

Now you're really making me weep, Sue. I have a package that's going cross-border. I didn't think being on the same continent would be that big a deal. You would think I'd know better after all the packages I mailed from overseas and always had to deal with shipping deadlines. Ah, well. I hope the niceness of my package charms my giftee enough to overlook the lateness. Of course, I could always call it a Boxing Day present.
