Wash: So, two days in a hospital? That's awful. Don't you just hate doctors? Simon: Hey. Wash: I mean, present company excluded. Jayne: Let's not be excluding people. That'd be rude.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2005: the Year of the Penguin

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2005? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

hip deep in pie

Don't say that!

Sail, this is cross-border, so I think it slows things down...

Now you're really making me weep, Sue. I have a package that's going cross-border. I didn't think being on the same continent would be that big a deal. You would think I'd know better after all the packages I mailed from overseas and always had to deal with shipping deadlines. Ah, well. I hope the niceness of my package charms my giftee enough to overlook the lateness. Of course, I could always call it a Boxing Day present.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

My santa rocks! I'm currently wearing a beautiful, cosy, hand-made scarf that is in the perfect colors for me (soft blues, greens and lavenders with a subtle sparkle) and perusing the awsome ReadyMade book. My santa is also far too generous, because I also have new Buffy DVDs and a couple of very fun JPL stickers (one of which has quite the artful glamour shot of a rover). Thank you, Kat!

I'm seriously not taking this scarf off until I go to bed.

hey aurelia, I'm so glad you like the scarf. The box got there so QUICKLY! We put it in the mail late on Saturday, like after the PO closed.

So, go USPS!

Wow, that is quick.

I'm so glad you like the scarf.

The scarf and the book and the glayvin...
I'm thinking of putting the JPL Flight Hardware sticker with my collection of backstage passes. It's just the right size and if I laminate it, it'll fit right in. And maybe the ReadyMade book will provide some inspiration for building a kitty tree or other fun toy for the kittens I'm adopting.

Is it from Nebraska?

Yep.

In addition to mouth happies, it provided a fun photo prop/cat toy.
