Spike's Bitches 25 to Life
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Seriously, P-C, whose name is on the lease? Yours?
Mine. My dad is a co-signer, I'm pretty sure. But I have to give permission for it to actually happen, so that's not the real issue.
Sunil,
I have spoken with your Mom regarding terminating your lease, which is fine. I do need a couple of things. First, your move out date will be 8/18, 5:00 PM. I also need for you to reply with permission to void your lease. I will then send you a copy of that. Thanks Deb
The real issue is my parents making my decisions for me yet again. And the fact that I don't know when I
will
need to terminate my lease, once I get a job, which may be soon and may be not soon.
That's craziness, P-C. I'm not sure I'm understanding your post - your realtor is asking you for permission to go ahead and terminate the lease, right? You aren't about to be homeless, just mad at yoru mom?
I'm asking for clarification, not to minimize the issue. That was way overstepping the line, whether it was effective or not.
Was that note from the realtor the first you heard about it?
If so, your folks need a serious clue-sticking.

Yeah, you've got it right. I can choose to stay here, but it would be all parent-defying and shit.
Was that note from the realtor the first you heard about it?
No, like I said, they'd been talking about the possibility, but I'd never said, "Yeah, you're right, I'd love to move back home in August!"
And, you clarified while i was typing. It sounds like what you need to do on a practical level is write to tell Deb that you don't authorize your parents to act for you regarding yor lease, you don't intend to void the lease at this time, and she isn't to do anything based on what your mother says in the future. Don't worry about maybe voiding the lease when you get a job, you'll deal with that then.
How to deal with your mom, I don't know.
P-C are your folks paying your rent? Because yes, I think their move was way overstepping, but they might feel like they have no need to pay rent for you there, since you're no longer in school there, and don't have a job there, and that if they're going to be housing you, they already have a house.
Cindy, they're not paying my rent. I'm paying out of my slowly dwindling bank account.
{{P-C}}
(P.S. Don't let your parents pull this kind of crap. It'll never stop otherwise)
How to deal with your mom, I don't know.
I suppose sticking your fingers in your ears and yelling "LALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU OR YOUR CRAXY 'SUGGESTIONS'!!" would be counder-productive, wouldn't it?
On a serious note, I'm sorry your mom pulled that, P-C. Oy.
Yeek, PC, way over the line, you're right to be pissed. I have no advice, beyond what has already been offered, merely sympathy.
Umm, wanna make out?
