And Kaylee, what the hell's goin' on in the engine room? Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

-t is the clear headed one on this issue - unless dad and mom have been helping you pay. then , the practiacal thing to do might be something else - like head to the bay area where you have relatives you can stay with and there are jobs related to what you can do , if not what you want to do.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Okay, PC, that's fucking insane. I think this is a line you don't want to let your mom cross, even if it will be tough going the parent-defying route.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

PC, you need to tell your folks the following, over and over and over again:

"Mom, Dad, I'm willing to listen to your advice, and I'll accept your help if I feel I need it, but you WILL NOT make decisions for me on my behalf."

Ann, that's a ferret.

Fair point as a practical matter, Cindy. If P-C's parents are footing the bill, they do have the prerogative to stop. The problem is, his mother told the realtor that certain specific things were going to happen without bothering to let P-C know about it.

In that case, the better course would have been to tell P-C that the financial support for an apartment stops as of some specific date. Then P-C could decide his next moves -- which could be moving home, temping, or something else that it's too hot for me to dig up from my mind.

(ETA: And since P-C points out that his parents aren't footing the bill, the whole things is moot anyway.)

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

answered all ready. so don't cancel. and just keep moving forward. - but I would start calculating how much time is left.

and then you can say - nope, no need to cancel I still have a years rent left. to your folks . even if there is only 4 months left.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

"Mom, Dad, I'm willing to listen to your advice, and I'll accept your help if I feel I need it, but you WILL NOT make decisions for me on my behalf."

My dad's calling in about an hour. My dad, who recently told me to take the first two weeks of August off to go on a family vacation. Was already checking plane tickets. I'll see what I can do.

nope, no need to cancel I still have a years rent left.

I've got about nine months before I go bankrupt. Probably fewer, since I'll have to start repaying my loan during that time.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Probably fewer, since I'll have to start repaying my loan during that time.

Can you get a deferrment? (Unemployment is a valid reason)

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Happies to vw! Many ugly-but-tasty choco cake wishes to you!

{{P-C}} That is way over the line and I hope you let them know it.

Happy birthday, vw!!

Yeah, you've got it right. I can choose to stay here, but it would be all parent-defying and shit.

Personally, I think you *should* stay there and be all parent-defying. If you have to take a retail job to pay the rent, so be it, but stay there and tell your parents that their pulling this sort of thing has ensured you will NEVER move home if there is anything you can do to avoid it, including sleeping on friends' couches.

Heh. See, whereas I was thinkign "Oh, sure, Jilli's all "you loook great! You should be goth ALL the time!" seducing another one to the goth side..."

Cripes, are my motives that transparent? (thinks about it) Eh, they probably are.

Maybe you can take me on a real goth night sometime?

Yep! Come to Seattle, I'll cart you out to the clubs.

In other words was Johnny Cash a Goth Cowboy?

Mr. Cash wasn't actually goth, but is one of the forefathers of the current movement.

Goths going to club nights wearing black t-shirts and jeans are being LAZY, and should have all their music confiscated until they start behaving better.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

((P-C))

That's just ... just ... how do they honestly even expect this to end? Cause I'm not sensing hugs and a yen to marry the girl they'll have all picked out.
