Battleship Earth happened. Like, it actually exists.
Which still scares me, to this day.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Really? I'm not so sure about that. But also not interested in digging up examples.
I was trying to think of one, and I'm not coming up with any (not that this means there aren't any). I know PROFIT is finally coming out (I think there's an actual release date and everything), but that's how many years down the road?
Really guys, it may not have been the payoff you were looking for, but you definitely earned the credit for it.
No, we really didn't. And I wish people would stop saying we did. It's a very sweet sentiment but it has no basis in reality.
It's not about being modest or humble. (HA. As IF.) It's about understanding how the industry works. Incidentially, one thing that Allyson and I will totally take credit for is the way the FF campaign was run. People in the industry were impressed by the ad and impressing those people? Not so easy to do.
So, I don't think I've ever seen the Variety ad. Anyone want to provide a link?
but without that tremendous show of fan support the DVDs and subsequent movie(s) would have been highly unlikely. Sure there were other factors.
But that's just not true at all, Wolfram. It really isn't. I swear. That's what I keep saying and people keep denying. The Variety ad came out days before the cancellation. And when Gail called Joss to cancel, she said he would have DVDs and she wouldn't stop him from shopping the show to another network. And that had everything to do with her relationship to Joss, and not anything to do with postcards.
But how many times just Joss have to say it never would have happened without the incredible fan support?
"i'd like to thank all the little people, god and ayn rand."
It's a nice thing for him to say, but completely untrue.
Thanks, Kristen. Nice ad, very gracious.
La la la la la. Not listening to your craxy talk.
Not listening to your craxy talk.
Okay, but will you explain why you refuse to believe it?
