OK, in case anyone can be made to feel better by laughing at stupid people hurting themselves: [link]
Two Star Wars fans are in a critical condition in hospital after apparently trying to make light sabres by filling fluorescent light tubes with petrol.
A man, aged 20, and a girl of 17 are believed to have been filming a mock duel when they poured fuel into two glass tubes and lit it.
OK, I suppose I shouldn't laugh if they are in critical condition... or is it OK to laugh at the stupid entirely separate from consideration of the severity of their injuries?
darwin award runners up. submit it.

I feel bad that they're hurt, but at the same time I'm gobsmacked at the sheer 'what the hell were they thinking?' of it all.

I think the severity of their injuries is probably directly proportional to the level of stupidity. Which is directly proportional to how funny it is. Which is indirectly proportional to the amount of sympathy they deserve. It's basic maths.
too much time on their hands.

You'd better not be judging my link with your ineffectual little fists, lady.
Lightsaber How-To.
I love that picture of Luke at the moment he gets his hand chopped off. He's wincing in pain, and his severed hand is sailing away but still in the picture and still holding his lightsaber.
I wonder if Thing from The Adams Family could wield a lightsaber?

It's for everyone's own good. I know best.
