Buffy: A Guide, but no water or food. So it leads me to the sacred place and then a week later it leads you to my bleached bones? Giles: Buffy, really. It takes more than a week to bleach bones.

or is it OK to laugh at the stupid entirely separate from consideration of the severity of their injuries?

I think the severity of their injuries is probably directly proportional to the level of stupidity. Which is directly proportional to how funny it is. Which is indirectly proportional to the amount of sympathy they deserve. It's basic maths.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You'd better not be judging my link with your ineffectual little fists, lady.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Lightsaber How-To.

I love that picture of Luke at the moment he gets his hand chopped off. He's wincing in pain, and his severed hand is sailing away but still in the picture and still holding his lightsaber.

I wonder if Thing from The Adams Family could wield a lightsaber?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I seem to recall Thing swordfighting with Gomez Addams. But it could just be my mind having fun, as it occasionally does. Still, if Thing did do the swordfighting, I guess it could wield a lightsaber, too.

Judge me and the petrol people if you need. But back off Dr. Marc. He is the nicest person I've ever known. So I will smite on his behalf.

I would think Thing would have more difficulty wielding a sword than a lightsaber, as the center of gravity of the sword is away from the handle, resulting in Thing sometimes tipping over.
