ION, one of the old school Bronzers is very sick, she has a tumor in her brain. She has a toddler and is pregnant with her second child. It's one of those cases where she is now finding out if she has nine months or two years ahead of her. And is terrified.
She was a regular Bronzer before I came along, way way back in the first days of the board.
And then, like mostly everyone, life got busy and she didn't post anymore.
But last night, word spread, and she posted at the Beta to thank everyone for thinking of her.
Suddenly, about a dozen people who haven't been posting anywhere in many many years popped up to say, "I remember you, I remember meeting you at PBP, I remember you're a wonderful person."
It just seems so profound that all these people, years and years later, can be found in just a few hours.
The BetaBronze isn't our home, that burned to the ground three years ago. But the Beta is sort of like the porch light, you know?

My first post-college boyfriend informed me while breaking up with me that he couldn't be with someone who obviously hated her sexuality as much as I did.
Upon questioning, it emerged that he had reached this conclusion because I wore a lot of long flowered dresses in shimmery sensual fabrics and rich colors; whereas it was a known and obvious scientific fact that a woman who was in truly touch with her sexuality, who truly owned her femininity and her womanliness, would wear tight jeans all the time so men could see her ass properly.
