I'm ok, but I started on a new AD today, so no sleep for me.
SJ, your psych ought to know this is a standard side effect and ought to PRESCRIBE something. I used to be on Trazodone, now I'm on Elavil (for the migraines, but it's also a sleep aid.)
The downside: Kafka dreams. Today, I was dreaming that I broke glassware in lots of peoples houses and I begged people to say that they knew I wasn't doing it on purpose and they stayed silent and I lay on the floor sobbing with nobody talking to me.
Ack, Betsy.
We
know you wouldn't do that on purpose. Unless it was the really hideously ugly painted glassware I saw in a store yesterday. I'll help you smash that stuff if you want.
The grandmotherly nurse practioner with the prescription pad in the behavior health part of my HMO seemed appalled that no one had offered me things to make me sleep along with antidepressants. Not sleeping was one reason I had given up on them before.
Garden centers are probably your best bet for instant gnomes, vw. Sometimes places like Target carry them too.
Something like Michaels, or Walmart, would be my first guess. I doubt you'd find them at Bed Bath or that ilk. I haven't seen them, anyway.
Or Gnome World. Or Gnome Depot. Or Bubba's Garden Gnomes and Croissants.

I just called around a bit and found a place a couple miles away that carries them. It's a garden center that actually used to be in walking distance, but they moved at the end of last summer. Oh, well...not that I'd want to carry a gnome home anyway. Home Depot doesn't carry them, which surprised me a bit. Actually, the guy laughed when I asked.
Did I say why I want a gnome? My brother thinks it would be a great thing to give my mom. Oh, yeah, I did say that. I'm checking with my dad before I actually purchase the damn thing. They're expensive!
They're expensive!
Perhaps you can find a drunken college student to steal one for you?
Back in my college days that's how we gained and lost our statue of Pan.
A warning about Trazadone -- it can mess with your vision. I think that's a rarer side effect, but after I started taking it my peripheral vision in my right eye started to get dark and blurry. It was pretty gradual before I realized what was going on.
The eye dr said that if I stopped taking it my sight wouldn't get worse but he couldn't say if it would go back to normal. So far it hasn't. It's a pretty minor thing but it's something to watch out for.
