(Except the bit where homophobia saves the day at the end. That was a stupid twist the first time around and really hasn't aged well.)
Xander ,'Help'
Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.
Aeryn on Willow's general allergy to accountability:
"But have you also considered that she is tiny and cute and nothing bad should ever happen to her?"
So insightful!
"But have you also considered that she is tiny and cute and nothing bad should ever happen to her?"
Right? Aeryn is Wise.
Last night was double Buffy so that Ethan could watch OMWF, so tonight we had an AtS double bill of Billy and Offspring.
I referred to Billy as "the primordial misogyny episode" and Aeryn was surprised to hear Lilah use that phrase verbatim - they assumed it was a Buffista-ism. 😂
I love BitterPregnant!Darla so much.
Aeryn has dubbed Shahjan "the nonbinary demon from the Woke Dimension" since he (a) introduced himself to Holtz as "not a man but...masculine" and (b) can shapeshift.
Legit.

Karl, I think Garner/ Hartley was my first 'ship ever. I guess it might have been good that, as a tiny chiquita, that I wasn't better at asking around school about whether those were, like, *exciting* to anyone else. Mom spent enough time at school explaining me as it was.
As You Were: Aeryn recognized Riley's wife but failed to identify her as Diyoza from The 100. They then suggested that Sam also break up with Riley and move to Sunnydale to date Buffy, since all the men in Buffy's life are disappointing and unworthy. They have also suggested multiple times that Anya break up with Xander (and date Buffy) so if you are sensing a theme, you are correct.
(They have also made comments like "Wow, Tara is the only character on this show with a working moral compass" and speculated about what Tara's major is and what job she'll get when she graduates, and how Amber Benson really should be in the main credits, and UGGGGGH I'm glad they're still somehow unspoiled but it's going to be be devastating in a few more episodes and I don't know how to handle it.)
(They also said offhand "Spike needs to learn that no means no" after he talked Buffy into having sex with him against a tree outside her house instead of going inside to give Dawn her dinner, so yeah. Seeing Red is gonna be a rough one.)
