All you asparagus haters are crazy with a capital crazy. It's got a short season, but when it's in, it's the tastiest thing around.
I was gonna say. What have you people been doing to your poor asparagus? Boiling it? Steaming it until limp?

I adore asparagus. And if you do the bit ChiKat suggests, you can also add roasted hazelnuts and a lemon butter sauce. I made this once for Easter and Mom begged me to make it every time I cooked for the family for a couple years afterwards.
