Spike's Bitches 21 Gunn Salute

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Deb, I assume you know that there are two books about filming the African Queen in Africa in 1951. It was filmed in Uganda and the Congo, though.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I assume you tried terms like "mau mau" in google? That one came up with some interesting things. Also, if you go to the library, you might want to try the Readers Guide to Periodical Literature for 1954-55. I know using paper seems passe, but it might work. Also, you might try something like a New York Times archive. This may also be available at SF Public. If they don't have it, you might be able to access it at one of the UC libraries.

Ginger, I had all the AQ filming info, including Bogie's lovely rant. This is three years later, though, other coast, and a very different political climate.
