Nov. 1 is an excellent birthday too.
F2F 3: Who's Bringing the Guacamole?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!
Juliana, my love, we're leaving Tuesday morning - if we need to find other accomodations for part of that time, let me know.
Nope, no worries. Also, WHEEE!!! Please to be sending me travel info so I know when & where, yes?
Couple of quick things:
1. I'm awaiting some info - and seeing whether we can set it up for two more people who want to attend, and whom we'd love to attend - before sending out a draft of the F2F Info Cheat-Sheet. My thinking at the moment is to send it out to everyone whose cellphone numbers I already have in the document, as follows:
Anne W, Kristin, NoiseDesign, Laura, Tommyrot, Nora & Tom, JZ, Jessica, _t, Teppy, Sparky, Ginger, Nicole, Pete & Jilli, Brenda M, ChiKat, Trudy, Vortex, Toddson, Polter-Cow, SailAweigh, SA, Kate P, Theodosia, juliana, Lee, DX, EpicTangent
That's obviously not the whole list of people coming - for one thing, it doesn't include the locals (except that juliana just told me to add her). If you don't see your name above, and want to either receive the list or add a number/arrival and departure info/BBQ or other event confirmation to it, please email me at the profile addy. I'll be sending this out probably on Wednesday of this week.
2. Monday 22 May is going to be a quietish day for me, since it'll be coming at the end of ten says of furious activity and the multiple sclerosis will almost certainly be cranky. But I'll probably be up for some nice mellow City-wandering, and will put a pasta dinner together for anyone who wants to come along an enjoy it. I don't need an RSVP for that - nice fluid plan. I'll just check with people at the weekend, get a rough headcount, and put together some food.
Insent to you, deb, and if I should forward some of the info therein to anyone else, I hope you'll let me know!
I really am so looking forward to this -- I like SF a whole lot, above and beyond the wonderful people I'll see there, and if all works out I should be able to do some significant things that I've never done before, like the Winchester House and the Monterey Aquarium. (I've made a 9:45 PM plane reservation for Monday in order to fit this is.)
Deb, I sent you my phone number a couple of weeks back, but I don't see my name on that list. I've also sent you a few other emails with my arrival info and my RSVP for the BBQ; now I'm concerned that they haven't gone through. Can you tell me what information you still need from me? Thanks.
Kate, you're there - when I read the phone list though, your name was right at the bottom line and my damned Word config jumps three lines when I hit "page down". Must get Nic to fix that.
So yep, I got yours, accommodations and everything, and you're there. No worries.
Okay, it's official. S and I will be in San Jose for the weekend of the F2F, so one way or another, we'd like to find a moment to see some folks.
However, we are absolutely piss-poor broke right now, and a little concerned about June rent, so we can't really afford to attend prom. We're not even sure how we'll get into the city yet.
So, we may just stop by long enough to say hi to people, possibly Saturday night, or we may try and hit the BBQ, but that means we'll miss some folks. Mostly our schedule is up in the air, but we'll figure things out by then, and hopefully see some people.
I don't want to speak for the group, but I don't personally view the Prom as a pay-to-play event. The $41pp (or whatever) is NOT a ticket price.
I agree with Jessica.
I'm with Jessica. What's the point of Prom Fairies if their contributions aren't put to good use? I contributed money last year despite not being able to be there and it was meant to ensure everyone had a good time.
