I'm with Jessica. What's the point of Prom Fairies if their contributions aren't put to good use? I contributed money last year despite not being able to be there and it was meant to ensure everyone had a good time.

I don't want to speak for the group, but I don't personally view the Prom as a pay-to-play event. The $41pp (or whatever) is NOT a ticket price.
Speaking as the one what is holding the purse right now, I totally agree. Seanie, you had BEST get you & your girl to Prom.
If you can donate, cool. If not, cool. It's a party, doll - that's it.
