Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

If I only had a brain...

You didn't like the last two Indiana Jones movies?

Not nearly as much as I liked the first one. But I mostly blame Spielberg for that, not Lucas.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Aimee, that is sheer brilliance.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I like the jub jub song.

I can't even.

You didn't like the last two Indiana Jones movies?

Last Crusade worked for me. Let us not speak of the Capshawosity.

Have there been any positive elements inserted into the original SW movies by Lame!George's tinkering? I'm only remembering the bad, because I'm invested in the originals (well, not yub yub).

I like the scene added to SW 1 with Han Solo talking to Jabba and climbing on his tail.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

I kind of thought the song in, uh, Return, in Jabba's palace wasn't too bad.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I like the jub jub song.

Do you ever catch yourself singing it at odd times?

I like the scene added to SW 1 with Han Solo talking to Jabba and climbing on his tail.

Oh, I hated that. Han Solo's motivation for getting off the planet in the original was partially because he'd just shot Greedo and was running from Jabba, which gave him a reason to keep running over the next movie. In the new version, he's forgiven for shooting Greedo and given an extention on his debts. Suddenly, his character has no good reason to personally be in a hurry, but is hurrying to help his passengers, which loses an important dimension to his character. He's one of the only multifaceted characters in the whole Star Wars universe. His selfishness guides his actions until he HAS to choose a selfless act. Hell, it's why he's an interesting hero: because he doesn't want to be.

hip deep in pie

Well, if they have taken it out and aren't going to put it back in, I for one, am going to start a movement to have it replaced with the song from "Fraggle Rock."

Dance your cares away! clap, clap! Worry's for another day!

The Jub-jub song always morphs into the Fraggle Rock song at some point...

I thought the new SFX of the Death Star explosion were pretty neat.

move out and draw fire

I like the scene added to SW 1 with Han Solo talking to Jabba and climbing on his tail.

I liked this also, but mostly because I'd seen it somewhere before, either in the comic books or maybe some TV special (like the Biggs Darklighter scene), back before TESB came out. Jabba was a white guy in a fur poncho, but otherwise it was the same scene.

Wow...I didn't even know they'd taken the yub-nub song out, since I only watched the "extended/director's/re-imagined" version once.
