You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

I'm thinking it was just that once for the flowers and candy.

If I only had a brain...

They didn't get anywhere because they turned out both to be bottoms.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Angel is a bottom. Angelus is a top. Spike is a bottom who thinks he's a top.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Spike is a bottom who thinks he's a top.

I dunno. Someone who goes around calling himself "love's bitch" doesn't strike me as a guy with a lot of illusions about his topness.

eta: Or is it "toppitude"? "toposity"?

Ann, that's a ferret.

But it also isn't easy to think of a Spike who'd have the Buffybot moan, "You're the Big Bad!" as someone who'd take a submissive role.

Maybe a bottom who wishes he were a top.

H'm. I'd forgotten the Buffybot. And he cuffed Buffy herself. Though he also let her beat the holy crap out of him. Can one be physically a top and a completely emotionally submissive love's bitch at the same time?

The terms can apply either to physical position or dom/sub dynamics, and the two aren't always synonymous.

I don't see Angel as a bottom in either sense of the word, but that may have as much to do with my impression of Lindsey as with Angel himself.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

CLASSIC.

Maybe a bottom who wishes he were a top.

also true

I think that lindsey would be a top, because he would want to be in control, which he never was. I don't know that Angel would let him, though. But maybe if he were feeling the need to be punished . . .

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, Lindsey is such a bottom.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Angelus is a top. Spike is a bottom who thinks he's a top

Which is why Angelus + Spike is pure porn, baby.

An awful lot of Jossverse guys are bottoms. Interesting.

Though Wesley, I'm thinking, is a top who thinks he should be a bottom, which is far rarer than a bottom who thinks he's a top.
