Hauser: You really think you can solve the problem? Come into Wolfram & Hart and make everything right? Turn night into glorious day? You pathetic little fairy. Angel: I'm not little.

If I only had a brain...

My suspicion is that a couple of episodes in, it's going to be clear that Lost deserves a thread of its own, because it's plotty and arcy the way that Buffy is. I'm happy to wait until the volume's up to the point where a thread is obviously necessary.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jossverse works for me, because I can read a week's worth of comics in one sitting, and I just don't go in until I've done so. Peachy. TV wouldn't work near as neatly.

Unrelatedly, it looks like COMM transcends language. I think.

slutet på "grönsaker som dildos"

And who can argue with that?

Did you notice that one of them had taglined Erika? So cool.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

There seems to be one Swedish-English translation tool on the web, and its server is down. Alas!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Who reads Swedish?

Well. Swedes, I hear.

What is even happening?

Show offs. Like being tall, blond, and gorgeous, isn't enough.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hee. We're relativt odödlig. I don't know what it means, but I kind of like the sound of it.

Off to email Sister's Swedish ex-boyfriend.

Who reads Swedish?

Just squint your eyes a bit and twist your mouth a bit when you read the diacritics. You can read it.

I especially like:

Mer Buffista-guld. (More Buffista gold)

and

Buffistas är verkligen en guldgruva! (Buffistas truly are a treasure-trove)

I think that odödlig means cultured or sophisticated, but my Swedish is pretty limited and I don't have a dictionary here.
