I don't much mind the whitefont, but clearly many people do, and I think that would be the main problem with a General TV thread. Because if we do whitefont all show discussion, people will be annoyed, but if we don't whitefont any show discussion, there's the large possibility of accidental spoilage. So if you missed

at the regular time, you wouldn't be able to go into the General TV thread to discuss Teh Seth without being spoiled for
Lost.
I prefer the idea of seeing if there will be a couple of shows that generate a large amount of discussion, and dedicating a thread to each of those (if we can, of course).

My suspicion is that a couple of episodes in, it's going to be clear that Lost deserves a thread of its own, because it's plotty and arcy the way that Buffy is. I'm happy to wait until the volume's up to the point where a thread is obviously necessary.
Jossverse works for me, because I can read a week's worth of comics in one sitting, and I just don't go in until I've done so. Peachy. TV wouldn't work near as neatly.
