It's not as good as The Wire, but not much is.
By your aesthetic criteria (not just your gut favorites) what makes your Best List, Corwood?
The Wire
The Office
....
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

I'd like to say Woody Strode, but unfortunately I look more like Strother Martin.
Wait, wouldn't that make your "partner" L.Q. Jones rather than Jack Elam?
Buffista Music III: Bach in Black
No.(And it causes me physical fucking injury, um, okay, *another* one, to admit that of a series with FrankenTim, the Munchkin, and Kay in it.) But it it totally true...broader canvas. Politics...no black-hat bad guys. Very little censoring...what are they gonna do next year, with the FCC sure to get a hard-on for them? So to speak. In cop talk, if you attack somebody personally like they might, you have a hard-on for them if you make busting them your mission. Very jealous of the Braugher encounter, but I would think I would say something smart and probably look like a dumbass. To meet the new language standards, Jimmy goes aphasic. I saw DW in something PG-13 once and it felt like that anyways without "Fuck *me*" and stuff. They did have a whole scene composed of "Fuck." and "Motherfucker" once. Because Simon's idol on BPD said one day cops will have their own language of just those words.
OK, lessee.
Best TV shows (not in order, 'cause that would take too much time and hurt too much):
Wait, wouldn't that make your "partner" L.Q. Jones rather than Jack Elam?
Yeah, but Elam's funnier looking. And L.Q. Jones is just a yellow-bellied redneck peckerwood, anyway.
Hey, I showed y'all mine. Let's see some more lists.
Do you want the dots...the commander likes dots.
In no order:

Yeah, but COFFERNTC4EVA!!!!
On a serious note, I agree with all of your list I'm familiar with (including the specific Buffy seasons, though I prefer Angel 2 to 4). I'd have to have Monty Python's Flying Circus in there somewhere, since you aren't excluding British shows. Probably at least one of the Futurama seasons, if not more, and also I'd have to have Firefly despite the premature demise. Oh, and Farscape 2 and 3, not to mention DS9 somewhere.
Damn, and Twin Peaks despite the wheels coming off.
