Kate, I have procured for you a secret history by The Divine Comedy. ($15.98) I probably need your current address too.
Woohoo! Thank you so much! Insent with my address.
'War Stories'
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

I finally bought the Cardinal re-issue online yesterday.
The Decemberists just announced a mess of new tour dates for the fall and they're selling a limited number of discounted tickets to all the shows. Sadly, I'll be in Paris during the New England dates (I know -- woe is me!).
I'm trying to decide whether I need to see them a fifth time. Oh, probably...
Thanks, Jon. I grabbed tix for the T.O. show.
Congratulations Joe and DW!
Packages are in the mail!
Illinoise and The Divine Comedy should be arriving Monday-ish to their respective new homes.
Dammit, Joe, Why can't I find you?
Also, The Decemberists are on Conan next Tuesday night. Set yer TiVos!

It's just not the same without the photo. And strictly speaking I don't have a Master's in American Studies: I have a non-specific Master's in Liberal Arts to go along with my non-specific Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts. Had my plans worked out 10 years ago I would have a non-specific Ph.D. in Liberal Arts, too. I can still picture my advisor at Villanova shaking his head and saying, "Don't do it. You'll never get a job. Just pick a department."
Excellent. By the way, I looked through the photo "album" and it seems to have been a wonderful wedding. Everyone looks very handsome or beautiful, whichever adjective is appropriate to their gender.
