Pretty simple equations, though. Vigilante justice = never a good thing outside of fiction. Lynching in the South = usually associated with race murder, although perhaps Willie & Toby were lamenting their inability to string horse thieves up. Either way, given the timing of the song, I took it as unadulterated support of our Bozo-in-Chief's decision to invade Iraq. Personally, I just hate to hear Austin's own longhaired, pot-smoking elder statesman of cosmic cowboyhood espouse a pro-war/anti-social justice philosophy.
My liner notes and a downloadable jpg of my inserts are available on my new, upgraded website: [link]
Speaking of Ian - he was interviewed on Morning Edition today for a story about Jenny Toomey. Read and listen here.
Cool, I'll have to download that.
Listening to the new Al Green disc, his first album of secular music in years. Holy shit, The Reverend is still fantastic. Makes your butter melt.

Thanks for the heads up, David. Email's on its way. I expect a wave of Chic-love to spread through the Buffistas once my mix shows up... Okay, maybe not. But it should. They're great and "26" is a great tune.
I am in posession of Mr. Boucher's mix and will be listening to it throughout the day. I feel that my day of data entry and address look-ups will be greatly improved with this music.
This gets my vote for Stupidest Music List Ever
One Hundred Albums You Should Remove from Your Collection Immediately
I disagree with the entire concept of there being albums you SHOULD or SHOULD NOT own - I mean - who cares? And yet, it exists therefore I link to it.
Yep, it's stupid. I mean, I feel the same hatred towards some of those albums, but others are pretty damn great albums.
Heh. Yeah, it's lame and I really love a lot of the albums on there, but some of the descriptions are kind of funny, like the Sarah McLachlan:
"Flip a coin. You get to keep one. You know it doesn't matter which." Or something to that effect.
But at least I get to keep my Clay Aiken and Kelly Clarkson CDs! Thank heavens!
