XM's '60s channel is interviewing Lesley Gore live. She's now singing her favorite song she's ever performed ("You Don't Own Me"), with only piano accompaniment.
Wow.
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Wow.
The Skrewdriver Q is someone from ILX taking the piss.
I should've guessed.
Perhaps the most fucked-up and disturbing song ever: [link]
I assume Hec is already in a U-Haul....
Heh. Is Hec is in a position to take on this guy's albatross? You'd need to construct a sizable archive just to deal with all that stuff, then be prepared to disappear from the face of the earth to do cataloguing. Wow. I'll stop bitching about the few boxes of stuff I have in storage right this minute. Love the questions.
I got no room for that collection, enticing though it is.
I did like this rhetorical question: "And who among us knew that Martian Hop came with a picture sleeve?"
The Go-Betweens on Fresh Air. Terry interviews them, Ed Ward talks about them. Also interviewed, Freaks & Geeks creator Paul Feig.
More from the on-going Houston-Brown trainwreck, one funny (albeit gnarly), the other just sad. I'm tempted to quip about the former that Bobby doesn't have the same aversion to crack that Whitney does, but I won't... oops.
Now I now want to see Nick Hornby do an update of High Fidelity that includes eBay.
I hope that guy gets a decent price for his stuff. $5,000 seems too little, somehow.
I listened to the Fresh Air interview with the Go Betweens and was then compelled to go online and buy the cd.
Once you buy one, you'll find that you need 'em all. Well, the good ones, at least.
Oh, I've got at least a couple of Go Betweens albums. . . in one form or another.
In honor of the day, Canadian music!
