Oh, and I am looking for songs about dresses for my new blog.
Nice blog, erin! Do you have "That Dress Looks Nice on You" by Sufjan Stevens?
Ima downloading the new Okkervil River album from emusic as I type - I'm reading good things about it.
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Would Bowie's "Fashion" work?
I downloaded the free version of the MusicMagic Mixer that's now included in Roxio's BoomBox Suite. I haven't really sat down to play, but out of curiosity I picked out The Verve's 'Bittersweet Symphony' to see what it would give me for a mix. Among other things, 3 Clay Aiken songs.
Mebbe I shall let my iPod's soul be it's pilot.
I may have lied. That music mixer is like crack. (Or, will be, once I've deleted all the useless shite I ripped for no reason off my computer.)
3 Clay Aiken songs.
Bwah!

"Dress" by PJ Harvey?
Sleater-Kinney: One More Hour ("That dress you wore, those pretty shoes")
Hole: Asking for It ("Angel dust and my dress just comes undone")
They aren't really about dresses but they mention them and they're good songs, too.
Mitch Ryder -- "Devil with a Blue Dress On"
I'm not sure who recorded it, but there's a c. 1920 song called "Alice Blue Gown."

Bad mix. Only one song/artist should be in a mix.
U2 has "If You Wear That Velvet Dress" off the Pop album.
