The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Has anyone else (Jilli) heard the new Nine Inch Nails album?

I've heard bits and pieces of it, but haven't sat down and listened to the whole thing. What I've heard, I like. Pete (who has listened to the whole thing a couple of times) thinks it's one of NIN's better albums.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Is there a reason why The The is not acknowledged as one of the greatest bands in history?

I don't know if I'd place them that high, but I do think they're underrated and love Soul Mining quit a bit. Their videos are regularly featured on The Alternative, and I was very psyched to nab "This Is The Day."

I guess I put them in the same overlooked slot as The Blue Nile.

I got it an one, but then went back a couple of weeks and failed horribly.

Now "This is the Day" is being used in a Dockers ad.

In my head, I equate The The with Radiohead. Except for the part where I enjoy listening to The The, and have never really grokked Radiohead.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

But the three people who got it are the ones who probably spend the most time with music. I bet Liese and Corwood get it in one.

Chatty!co-worker (who's been in a band since before I was in high school, I'm pretty sure) guessed the other 3 members before guessing the drummer.

He's failed miserably at music geekery. I didn't even have to think about it. The cockiest and most uncomplicated looking person is going to be your drummer in most instances where your band isn't Rush or The Band (or The Carpenters or VU - there are plenty of exceptions, obviously, but they played to the mean with this game).

Hah! Am not sure if this describes the drummer in my band or not. If you're just looking at our arms you can tell who the drummer is immediately though. The easiest way to tell would be in a handshake test. She'll crush your hand without even trying.
