I knew that topless lady had something up her sleeve. - John Prine

I am after tommyrot

All women should be as direct as Tina. Woohoo!

How the fuck did you notice that?

The theremin sticking out of your pocket was a dead giveaway. The Lothars Play This Is Spinal Tap featuring Jon Bernhardt as Nigel Tufnel: "We have... theremins in our trousers!"

Anyone have thoughts about Ida? I had heard of the group but never paid any attention until the other day when I saw that it's Dan Littleton's band. I don't know him but we've met, have mutual friends, and his father taught at my school. I downloaded a couple tracks from their new album. Any suggestions about the band's other recordings?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Ida, you say? Here is a review of their latest album by, ahem, my boyfriend. [link]

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

The new Garbage is out today, for any interested parties.

And two weeks until the new New Order (though you can get that as a pricey import now, and on-line aparently).

Art Crawl!!!

I saw an ad for the new Garbage on tv! This surprised me. . . I'm not sure why.

Up with the sun

I'm curious about the new Garbage. I really liked their first album, but then I kind of forgot about the band for a decade or so. But I suspect I may be interested in them again.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

That America: We Stand As One video that Sue linked to last week? Somehow, I neglected to read the "about" page. The singer/songwriter was a stunt coordinator for several of the Star Trek shows, even appearing on a Star Trek trading card!

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

Did the Dixie Chicks do something new? Or was it just a random thought? I love them, too. "Home" is an incredible record.

Yay for new Garbage! Their second is my favorite of theirs. The last one was only so-so, but I'm hoping to like this one more.
