I just wanted to say that bicyclops is evil.
Heh heh. You were just so proud that you'd never heard it, I couldn't resist. Count your blessings I didn't yet know how much you disliked "Walking On Sunshine", you mean old happy-song hater ;)
Anyway... bicyclops, can you send me a Word file (or whatever) so that I can reproduce your liner notes before I send off a copy of your Frankenmix to the next person?
Will do.
I don't have access to a color printer but I'm tempted to buy one so I can do bicyclops's cover art justice.
I can send you another color print along with the next mix I send, if you'd like.
Ginger:
Anyway, if The Swimming Pool Q's are local to bicyclops, then bicyclops is local to me.
Native Atlantan, and still in the area.
Anne Richmond Boston and Jeff Calder are friends of a friend.
Cool!
Anybody know anything about Shalini Chatterjee?
She lead the group Vinyl Devotion. Married Scott Miller (Game Theory, Loud Family), ran off and left him for Mitch Easter. Did an album titled Shalini. Then did a Krautrock tribute record (wittily titled Anneu'ed). Seems like this is somebody I'd be interested in. Jon? Hayden? Tina? Misha? Anybody. Rio?

I'm not a native, but I've been here almost 30 years, which in Atlanta is pretty close. I've met Anne Richmond Boston and Jeff Calder at parties and Anne sang harmony on my friend's last record, but I couldn't claim to know them.

I think there used to be some MP3s on her page, but I don't see any now. I'm pretty sure I've got a couple of the ones that used to be there saved somewhere - maybe at work.
Hmm... can't find 'em here - will check at work tomorrow. I think what I had were by Vinyl Devotion - a couple good pop tunes, but didn't impress me enough to buy the albums. Haven't heard the Krautrock or the more recent stuff with Easter.
Comics: you have to put in the Tori Amos/Neil Gaiman connection, of course (does he count as indie?) and I'd also cite, in a slight tangent, the "Heroes and Villains" Powerpuff Girls CD, which, as you know, RAWKS.

Oh yeah - did Neil and Tori ever actually do anything together? I know he's written some songs that were recorded by a folkie RenFaire kinda group.
