I just wanted to say that bicyclops is evil.
Mr. Bicyclops was kind enough to send me an extra CD with his excellent Frankenmix - the Philip Glass CD "Songs from Liquid Days" which I had mentioned earlier that I wanted. Except there was one extra track on it. It turned out that it was "Don't Worry, Be Happy" - I had also mentioned in a different context that I had never heard that song.
He's evil, I tells ya.
I have to admint, when I heard that song (after wondering what it was) I laughed outloud.
Anyway... bicyclops, can you send me a Word file (or whatever) so that I can reproduce your liner notes before I send off a copy of your Frankenmix to the next person? If you have such a thing, that is - otherwise I'll just reproduce it from your web page.
I don't have access to a color printer but I'm tempted to buy one so I can do bicyclops's cover art justice.
I seem to remember Alan Moore doing something for V for Vendetta. "This Vicious Cabaret"? Something like that.
Yup -- "Vicious Cabaret" was recorded by David J of Bauhaus fame. It's on David J's compilation album: "On the Glass: The Singles."
The Tripletsof Belleville song is a total earworm. It replaced "Hey Ya" for me instantaneously.
Tina's liner notes are now online here. Formatting them made me even more hyperexcited about getting it.

She lead the group Vinyl Devotion. Married Scott Miller (Game Theory, Loud Family), ran off and left him for Mitch Easter. Did an album titled Shalini. Then did a Krautrock tribute record (wittily titled Anneu'ed). Seems like this is somebody I'd be interested in. Jon? Hayden? Tina? Misha? Anybody. Rio?

I'm not a native, but I've been here almost 30 years, which in Atlanta is pretty close. I've met Anne Richmond Boston and Jeff Calder at parties and Anne sang harmony on my friend's last record, but I couldn't claim to know them.
