What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

The new Garbage single is up on the iTunes Music Store today- for all I know it's on the radio, and has been, but I don't listen to the radio anymore, so I don't know. Huzzah!

A friend picked up tickets for us to go see Garbage yesterday.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I tried to convince some friends to go to the very first live Garbage show ever, but failed.

(Was in the 7th St. Entry (part of 1st Avenue) in Mpls. Don't know why their first live show wasn't in Madison.)

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

I'll be the only person sitting in the "I like both "The Living Daylights" AND a-ha" corner.

Garbage had "The World is Not Enough." I can't remember if that was the main theme or not. Sheryl Crow had a really shitty song in her really whiny voice. Tina Turner's "Goldeneye" was written (co-written, maybe?) by Bono and The Edge.

Has anyone else heard the new Coldplay song? 107.7 in Seattle played it this morning, and I thought it was FABULOUS.

Finally, if I dig the latest Rilo Kiley CD, would I be pleased with their other releases?

Mopes.

Ok, so it's misplaced moping, as my U2 tickets went *poof*. But moping all the same.

What, you had them and lost them, or your source didn't come through?

I had a chance (via the same friend) for U2 tickets at the fka Fleet Center, but they were WAY too pricey for a band I like but don't love.

FYI Lilty - The Garbage show is Sunday April 17th at Avalon in Boston (that's the day before Patriot's Day/Marathon Monday) - with TicketBastard charges they would be $36. There may still be some available.

Up with the sun

I've heard mixed things about the first one, but "The Execution of All Things" is even better than "More Adventurous." I'm not sure if you got Tina's mix in the swap or not, but it had a song from "The Execution..." on it.

And I'm still trying to figure out when U2 tickets for D.C. go on sale for people not in the fan club.

The source didn't come through- the tickets were very pricey, and he decided to sell two of them on eBay to pay for the other two so his little brother could go. (I don't even buy it, but I'm not going to question, since it was a maybe in the first place.)

I'd go to Garbage, but it's a week before my trip, so I'll be all saving my money and stuff.

The McCartney song "Temporary Secretary" is the wrongest song in Wrongsongville. I love it.

I heard it once on the radio back in '79 or so. LitG made me finally track down the album McCartney II.

Paul owes me a kickback.
