Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Wings, "Live and Let Die".
AKA the best Bond theme ever. Well, except for Henry Mancini's, but that's for Bond as a whole, not just for one movie.
But what is the WORST Bond theme?
But what is the WORST Bond theme?
Any that Shirley Bassey did. Or, hell, let's just make it a trifecta: Diamonds Are Forever, Moonraker, and, yes, I'm going to say it, Goldfinger. The first 2 are just blandly cheesey, and she *bellows* Goldfinger, which I cannot abide.
Oh, and the one that a-ha did was pretty bad, too. Was it The Living Daylights?
I'm oddly fond of Thunderball, myself.
Oh come, Sheena Easton's For Your Eyes Only.
Cheesy and soulless.
Whichever the one was that was done by Duran Duran.
t clutches Goldfinger to her bosom

A View to a Kill.
A View to A Kill was released when I was at the tail end of my crazed adolescent Duran Duran fangirliness, and so just for that, I've always been fond of that song.
And I can tolerate Sheena Easton a lot better than I can Shirley Bassey.
Carly Simon, "Nobody Does It Better." Makes Pussy Galore and Holly Goodhead look subtle.

I love that one! Mostly because The Spy Who Loved Me is my favorite- That's the one where he marries Diana Rigg right?
No, Heather. That's On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
I'm down on TSWLM generally because the movie is nothing -- and I mean literally nothing (except for the character James Bond) -- like the book.
