I look more rad than Lutheranism

My Miles Davis = 11.5 hours' worth. Right now, no other artist comes close to my Miles tally.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Now I'm curious - I wonder if there's an AppleScript that can tell me what my top artists are....

Just off the top of my head, my top artists would include Dylan, Beck, Robyn Hitchcock, Camper Van Beethoven, Bowie, Elvis Costello, Kristen Hersh, Luna, Phillip Glass, R.E.M....

I think I have about 24 Bowie albums, but most I only have them on LP.

eta: 7 hours of Dylan. That's probably about my top....

I just typed some names in the iTunes search bar, to guess who I have the most of. But I have far far far fewer songs than you, so my guess was easy.

Awwww. I have iTunes on shuffle, and "Summer Wind" just came on. Perfect. Music to go to bed by.

Ooh, 7.8 hours of Wilco - we have a new leader....

Counting Bragg/Wilco, though.

On iTunes, about 15 different artists have songs called "Summer Wind."

Also, who did the song "Where Do Words Go?"? iTunes said it's by Various Artists, but I have my doubts....

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We are listening to a CD by a German duo called Stereo Total which the BF is reviewing. I'm kinda digging it. It's a man and a woman with a sorta punk Serge Gainsbourg vibe.

A fellow makes himself conspicuous when he throws soft-boiled eggs at the electric fan.

I really like what I've heard by Stereo Total. They do a really funny cover of "Get Down Tonight" ...

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Oh yeah, they're fun. I played "Vive Le Week-End" from the new one a few week ago.

And Buffistas introduce me to another cool band....

Check out their cover of Salt-n-Pepper's "Push It". Sadly, it's only 59 seconds long.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Is there a website out there where you can bash opening acts? If not, maybe I should start one. I went to see Denice Franke tonight (excellent singer-songwriter; toured with Nanci Griffith for years). The opening act made my ears bleed. Among other things, she broke what I think of as the first commandment for a singer-songwriter: never write a song out of your range. I was good; I just whimpered inaudibly and thought about throwing french fries.
