There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Now I'm tempted to buy a theremin and see if I can get my cat to play it. I could give him a treat every time he got close enough to make a noise out of it.
Although maybe a cat could not control both the pitch and volume at the same time. Better get another cat.
Now I'm curious. I remember Valerie from Mistle Thrush thanking her dad for helping her build her theremin. Do they also come in kit form? Or is that more a "mad scientist" project?

She played with us at one gig. IIRC, she used a PAIA Theremax. It's one of the most popular theremin kits for hobbyists, but it's (more) difficult to play musically.
The Etherwave I mentioned above also comes in kit form (for $50 less than the finished version), but the circuit board is preassembled, so it's not nearly as overwhelming to build as the PAIA. I bought my Etherwave from a kit and, with barely any soldering experience, assembled the electronics in an evening. Sanding, staining and varnishing the case, on the other hand, took a few days.

I was always disappointed she didn't do more with hers. Usually only "I Scare Myself" which generally closed their set. The only time I saw her really cut loose with it for a whole show was when they opened for SPIRITUALIZED at Axis and they played a MUCH more free-form gig.
Given congrats to Hayden in natter, but, realizing now that I don't think he gets over there, here's another!!! CONGRATS to the Hayden famileeeeeee!!!!
