Since we were talking about videos earlier, I really love the video for the White Stripes' "The Hardest Button to Button."

Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

eta: Which song is which of these two:
VTQ From the Block - The Voodoo Trombone Quartet
16/20 - JuJu Club
is a guess, based on which song sounded the most trombone-y.
Well, the VTQ one is a cover of "Jenny from the Block"!
Yep! It's a cover of "Jenny from the Block," only with "Voodoo Trombones" substituted for "Jenny". Sung by a man with a very deep voice, and, well, a lot of trombones.
16/20 - JuJu Club is not in English. That should narrow it down some ...
GAK! I must have ripped the CDs in the wrong order. So sorry folks. I have no idea how I did that.
Yeah, some of the ones you sent me were in a slightly different order msbelle, but it was EXTRA FUN matching them all up so don't worry about it!
my apologies all around.
I just tried to get U2 tickets. no luck. 10 minutes into the public sale they look to be completely sold out on all three NYC shows.
msbelle, advance tickets were a nightmare, from reading the fan sites. Ticketmaster's system was Crashy McCrash, and the codes some people had wouldn't work. Are you trying online? You might have better luck over the phone.
I am trying on both. I have yet to get through on the phone, but am still trying.
Steph, any idea what disks those are?
If they're the same ones I sent Gandalfe, they'd be Anne, meara, Kate P., and Alicia.
Having checked what CDs Gandalfe sent me, I *do* have 4 CDs -- from Kate P., Alicia, and what looks like *2* from Anne W. However, nothing from meara.
Gandalfe, is that right? And if so, where is meara's CD? (That last question isn't addressed specifically to Gandalfe, just to the swap group at large.)
t edit And Jon B.'s list of links to liner notes has the link for *1* of Anne W.'s CDs -- any chance of liner notes for the other?
