Gah. Before I ripped erinacous's CD I typed all the song and artist names in. Now I discover that the songs were actually in a completely different order than on her webpage. I don't know yet if I screwed up while ripping it (iTunes ripped in random order?), or if the CD I got had the songs all in the wrong order....
Still, it's kinda' fun, listening to a song and picking a likely song name and band from a list....
eta: OK, I'm gonna need some help figuring out some of these songs.
First: Do you suppose the song "The Robot With the Accordion" has something that sounds like an accordion, and something that might be a robot?
eta²: OK, these are the ones I can't figure out. All but one (eta: or 2) are instrumentals.

McCartney II
gets a namecheck in LitG! I love that album. I ended up with a copy as a kid somehow, but for some reason gave the LP to a friend a few years later. I'm still not exactly sure why. Thanks for reminding me that I've been meaning to get my hands on a copy.

McCartney II gets a namecheck in LitG! I love that album.
LitG made me decide to buy that album. When I was in Jr. High, my favorite AOR station played "Temporary Secretary" once. I thought it was the coolest song. Several years later I looked it up and was surprised to see McCartney had done it. So all these year I've been meaning to get a copy, and LitG is what made me decided I need it now. (Or in a few days, as iTunes doens't have it.)

Neither you nor iTunes screwed up. I sent you the same copy I got, which had the songs out of order. I should have let you know that. I blame Christmas.

msbelle's mix did have the right track order. I typed in the artists and titles and submitted it to freedb. Unfortunately, I accidentally submitted the CD title as A Deeply Practical Person, which is the title of erinaceous' mix, not msbelle's.

Crap. I was thinking that I should have saved that info. Instead, when I figured out a song I just renamed it and changed its Track # to conform to the "published" order. But hey, I can post the track list that I now have with the length of each song, which should be all you need to figure things out. I'll do that with my compilaation too.

Oh. I could get the track listings of previous CDs from the CD player on my Linux box, but not these two. I guess that explains it. And now my Linux computer (along with my XP computer, as it's dual boot) is dead. Leaving me with only two modern computers in my appt, both Macs.
