This isn't a come-on. I'm in a very serious relationship with a landscape architect.

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

SA spent a decent chunk of time at my apartment this past weekend ripping a stack of my CDs to her laptop.

It's a...hobby...of mine. I also went ahead and bought another 208 case. This is my fourth one.

Did you give her internet access so she cold use CDDB to automatically name the CDs and tracks?

Wasn't necessary, as I was either burning them right then or putting the artist and album name on there to burn later. I'm not keeping the files on my computer.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Alicia, insent.

I got Meara's CD today! I am enjoying it muchly (and copying it to my iTunes) even as I type. If all goes well, I'll get it in the mail tomorrow, or Saturday at the latest.

"Everything I Need" by Melissa Ferrick kicks all kinds of ass.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Melissa Ferrick kicks all kinds of ass.

Meara: "I sure as hell wasn't going to a Melissa Ferrick concert, listening to her do "Drive" for twenty minutes and then go home alone."

Yay! Wow, that was quick! I got it to the post office at 6pm yesterday!

AND I got msbelle's CD today! Haven't listened to it yet--my computer's been weird lately, and I"m trying to avoid it freezing. Can someone repost the link to where Jon has everyone's liner notes? I need to bookmark that.

Indeed!

Meara: "I sure as hell wasn't going to a Melissa Ferrick concert, listening to her do "Drive" for twenty minutes and then go home alone."

Heh. STILL TRUE. But really. Who wants to get all hepped up, groovin' and feelin' it, and then....go home?

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Steph L, I finally, after much hell, got your CD sent today. Because of the amount of sucking I sent it priority mail, so it might show up Saturday. I also included Elizabeth's CD and liner notes. I should be getting a new printer shortly, so I'll print out nice liner notes and a cover and a label and everything and send that out next week.

Can you ever forgive me?

Thanks Jon! I have 'em bookmarked now.

And am listening to msbelle's CD now, on random. Which is a little odd, cause i have no idea what category any of these go in. But they're cool.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

To answer Fred Pete's question from this morning about "Mad World: -- yes, it's the Michael Andrews version, and it's really haunting and lovely.

Kate - I will print out liner notes for you, no worries.

Excellent! Thank you.

Yay! Kate likes my CD!

Yea verily, it does rock. It's been my painting-the-new-living-room music for the last few days. I'm really digging that Kylie Minogue/Fischerspooner song, among many others.
