Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

In a note of coolness, today when I went to the music store to pick up a Decemberists cd, they were playing the very one I went there to buy. I also got Deathcab for Cutie and the newest Howie Day.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Mr Broom, it says you have no files shares.

Yeah, just without the bad grammar. ::wince::

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

I don't know why it says that for some people and not for others. It irritates the crap out of me, though. I'm on my own list and I see 4,000+ files. It's not fair because I want to foist my music on people. Grrr. Well, as long as it's only a couple of people, I suppose my friend won't mind me linking you to his upload page for the album. Just, y'know, don't go linking other people.

Got it. Thanks. You might want to edit your post after a bit, deleting the link.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Any huge Robyn Hitchcock fans out there? The Alternative has him as a guest as part of their year-end wrap-up and they're showing lots of otherwise not-so-available videos along with it.

Anyway, it'll be on my TiVo for a few days so I could tape it for anybody interested.

The new Decembrists sounds great. Colin Meloy is doing a solo show here at Cafe DuNord in January. That'll be packed.
