Here are links to three Xmas radio show archives, each w/ downloadable mp3s of every song. Mostly r&b and country. Also tends to the funny & the weird, but there are some straightahead numbers, too. Can't beat the price.

Hmm. I'll look for that either at the stores or on iTunes. Thank you!
Turns up in the used bins pretty often. It's folky, but they use a lot of the droney/hurdy gurdy instruments I like. It feels very Dickens and Christmassy, but not overfamiliar and overdone.
My friend Jerry does a kickass Xmas compilation every year -- this year's liner notes are here.
I can probably send copies to folks who are desperately seeking Xmas music. You weirdos.
I have a friend who did a couple of Xmas discs. I'll try to hunt down track lists and post them, if you're interested.
Huh, there's a Placebo greatest hits.
Placebo's music is so full of sex and drugs, it's amazing the rock & roll doesn't come across as an afterthought. On the contrary, Once More with Feeling proves the androgynous, pan-sexual, pan-European trio to be one of the UK's most consistent singles bands. - Popmatters
Hayden, did you see there's a Jandek documentary out now?
Huh, there's a Placebo greatest hits.
Yep, there is. I have to check if the version with the DVD has been released in the US yet. And if it
has
and I don't get it as a present, I'm buying it on December 26th.
Jilli, you might like the Christmas Revels. I've seen the show several times--it's lots of fun, and it's got just the right ratio of Christmas to Solstice for me.
Hayden, did you see there's a Jandek documentary out now?
Yep. I've almost seen it so many times (but failed to do so at the last minute) that I'm starting to think it's captured the true spirit of Jandek. It's possible I might be lame, too.
Huh, there's a Placebo greatest hits.
Yeah. They're not really hits, but most people never realize the difference.
Essential Albums 2000-2009
I knew I'd been sorta sleepwalking through the decade, but I didn't realize I had missed the middle and end of it.
