You do well to flee, townspeople! I will pillage your lands and dwellings! I will burn your crops and make merry sport with your more attractive daughters! Ha ha ha! Mark my words! Ooh! Ale! I smell delicious ale!

Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

EDO is Eliot's band.

Should I know who Eliot is? I've never heard of EDO.

I was much busier this weekend than I intended to be, so I'm gonna reburn mine tonight and send it out tomorrow. Sorry for the delay. I received Alicia's CD on Saturday and haven't even had time to listen to it yet! Really looking forward to it, though.

On general principle yes because Eliot & his band are great, but as a practical matter no, there's no reason you would have heard of either. But I introduced Eliot & hayden. They've been trading emails about Moby Dick, but I don't know if Eliot's musical endeavors came up.

I've just been kinda lurking today waiting for someone else to fess up to being late first. Thanks Kate! Mine goes out tomorrow as well. I'm a little frustrated with it after listening to it several times this wknd. But I have to remember that just because I'm sick of hearing some of my selections, doesn't mean others will be.

Liner notes are, once more, ridiculously long, despite my best attempts at brevity. They'll be posted a little late as well. (LJ is posting them for me and I have to wait till she gets the actual mix - since she is the person I am sending it to - so she'll still be surprised and stuff.)

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

This may be pointing out the obvious, hayden, but EDO is Eliot's band.

Oh yeah, I was down with this, but not wanting to be all off-boardy. I checked out their website, but don't think the Exley song was on there. Is it going to work for your CD? I want to hear it!

I'll send it to you. In theory my CD recorder let's me adjust the input level (the song's on tape), but it doesn't work so the EDO tracks are about half the volume of the others. The computers I have access to either don't have a burner or don't have editing software. Worst case I'll send you a quiet EDO CD & you can just crank it up.

Hell, I was going to do this anyway.

A fellow makes himself conspicuous when he throws soft-boiled eggs at the electric fan.

My cd went out today! So Joe, be on the lookout.

But it's my original mix, the new song (which was to be "San Diego Zoo" by the 6ths) didn't quite fit. Oh, well.

Have I mentioned here that Little Bird's new favorite song is "The Joker" by the Steve Miller Band? He thinks, not surprisingly, it's about Batman. Also, there is nothing cuter than a three-year-old running around singing "Some people call me the space cowboy, some call me the gangster of LUUUUV..."

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I'm listening to the Teppylicious Mix right now, AIFG!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Yay! You got it! You're dancing to "Baby Got Back," aren't you?

Haven't gotten there yet. Currently listening to George sing about something or other.
