joseph arthur is in town here tomorrow night, but i doubt i'll go. a)because i've been feeling like crap on a stick. b)it's downtown and i hate driving downtown. not to mention parking. c)i've heard the venue is teeny and not at all conducive to having a good time.
bleh. i'd really like to see him though.
I'm planning on buying two (expensive) tickets to one of the REM Seattle shows, if only because it's more fun to go with someone. But if I can't find anybody to go with, I'll go by myself and just have a twice-as-expensive concert experience.
(Then again, I'll probably panic while on hold with TicketBastard and end up buying only one.)
ATTN:
could DavidS, tina f, Lyra Jane, & Galdalfe email me concerning the CD exchange - THANK YOU!
Insent to msbelle.
Now playing: Bluegrass #1's on Rounder.
Hey, all! I have a question for you.
I need to do a little research on online radio for the ol' employer. I remember that several people here actually used Internet radio and had particular services that they liked -- would you be willing to point me to 'em, maybe say what you like or dislike about them?
The only such service I've used myself is streaming audio from non-Internet stations (KEXP, WNYC, etc.), so any pointers would be very gratefully accepted indeed.

msbelle's a big Launch fan. I've used Launch occasionally. I've also listened to Live365. I frequently take advantage of WFMU's archived shows. Do you need links for those? The first two are just dot coms.
I use Launch quite a bit. Also listen to air america streaming.
Michelle, CBC has a web only station?, channel?, site? called Radio 3. It's not conventional radio though. It's set up like a magazine, with a new "issue" every week. It does offer concerts, in studio sessions, as well as streaming music. It's a neat concept, and it has great stuff on it, even if the Flash navigation drives me mad.
Michelle - i really like VH1's online radio. plenty of stations to choose from, they always tell you what is playing and you have the option of fast forwarding past a song you don't like.
