Aren't they something. They're like butterflies, or little pieces of wrapping paper blowing around.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Don't know if people have heard about these . I saw something in ReadyMade about them and thought of all the old-school mix tape folk.

After finding that page today, I went to the link and found this , so sad.

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

I got the new kd lang CD today, and I love it. Her voice is so warm and rich. The CD makes me want to return to bed, pull the covers over my head and cry for a while.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Well, if the article quoted the right price, I say it's a shame Sony just didn't sue him. A hundred bucks US for a gutted Sony Walkman? You've got to be kidding.

Having said that, from a security point of view, it's a good idea. You're less likely to be mugged for your ancient Walkman than you are for a new iPod.

Funny, an old kd song came up on my iPod yesterday and I wondered what she's been doing recently (other than being a fabulous dykon). She kind of dropped off my radar. What's the new album called, Alicia, and what genre is it - more country, more jazzy?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

If it's Hymns from the 49th Parallel (I just looked at Amazon), she covers Leonard Cohen -- "Bird on a Wire" and "Hallelujah." Must. Get. CD.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Gimme a laptop with wooden side-panels, and I might have to give in.

So, then, Sandbenders?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

If it's Hymns from the 49th Parallel (I just looked at Amazon), she covers Leonard Cohen -- "Bird on a Wire" and "Hallelujah." Must. Get. CD.

This is her latest - she covers great Canadian songwriters. Lenny, of course, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Cockburn, Jane Siberry (I think).

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

The cover of "Hallelujah" isn't as good as others I've heard. But her covers of "After the Gold Rush" and "Helpless" by Neil Young are superb.

It's a very mellow album, but really lovely. And yes, there's some Jane Siberry on the album. Two songs, I think.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

The cover of "Hallelujah" isn't as good as others I've heard.

See, I heard her "Hallelujah" and declared it a possibility for my One True Version.
