There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

She's pining for the fjords.

And almost certainly tired and shagged out from a long squawk (known in 'the business' as a bonus track).

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

If ever there was proof of the existence of elves, Bjork is as close as I've ever seen.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I love Bjork, right down to her swan dress. Just not sure I'll love the newest record is all. As far as voices, hers is amazing.

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

Bjork's "Bachelorette" is one of those songs that makes me want to get a giant billboard in downtown Seattle proclaiming it to be the coolest song ever.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

We did a cool-ass dance piece to "All is Full of Love" in college. It was a modern piece and while we were brainstorming, one of us looked at the ceiling, where a ten foot snake puppet was hanging, and said "We should put that in it." The end result was three disgruntled techies on their stomachs on rollerboards, with the snake strapped to their backs, slithering all over the stage.

Moral of the story? Bjork makes people do strange things.

And her ideal man is David Attenborough!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

And her ideal man is David Attenborough!

For some reason, I read that as David Lynch, and my head damn near 'sploded.

So 'splodey, in fact, that I posted twice.

Last night was the second day of North vs. South in Lawrence. A "hard-pop music festival" highlighting bands from Austin and Minneapolis. I got to see a very animated Ol Yeller (Minn.) play for a crowd of a decent size (I've seen them several times in front of five people and they deserve a lot more than that) and very fun set from Grand Champeen from Austin that ended with an all bar sing along of "Can't Hardly Wait." Good times.

I recommend both bands to Austin and Minneapolis-istas who have not seen them yet.

Tonight's Grant Hart from Husker Du. Yay.

For the record, The Streets album did not make me cry but I do like it.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I just got a burn of the Streets album last night and haven't listened to it yet.

I like ol' Grand Champeen, Tina. Glad you enjoyed them.
