There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Hey! Pylon are reuniting!
A greatest hits compilation, aptly titled Hits, remains available, and features selections from the group's first two albums and numerous singles.
I did not know this. I'll have to find a copy. Is "Crazy" on this?
I skipped and skimmed -- didn't know that either. Off to Amazon!

I'll have to buy Hits. Plus I've been meaning to order The Gun Club's Fire of Love too, so I guess I'll kill two birds with one stone and place an Amazon order today.
'Cuz you know, all copies of all Gun Club CDs will sell out once Hec's book comes out.
eta. Maybe I'll add The Cramps Stay Sick to my order. I have not heard "Bikini Girls with Machine Guns" in quite a long time.
BTW, Tom, the Cramps are playing the Vic Oct.23rd.
I have fond memories of a Cramps show on the night of the '94 midterm elections. Getting wasted while watching the Cramps was the best possible antidote (not involving IV drug use) to that fiasco.
Where are the Cramps playing Nov. 2nd?
San Francisco 10/31 & Seattle 11/02
CNN has an interview with Robert Smith.
Apropos of that, I have read two interviews with Mr. Smith in the last week.
In the one with American indie rag, Filter, he sounds all tortured-artisty,the child grown old, all that rot. (It's a REALLY dreadful interview -- the writing is incredibly melodramatic, and it's clear the author waas trying really hard to be Appropriately Goth. Ugh.)
In the one with the British magazine, Q?
He talks about weeding and football.
He was always completely down-to-earth in interviews. He's just a bloke who married his childhood sweetheart and plays football a bit. The rest has been an act since at least 1989. It's always been one of the charming things about Smith (cf New Order).
